Out with the Old Tree... in with Palo Verde
I don't like to chop down trees, but the Easmor Alexander had a diseased tree that was also out of place in the drought-tolerant desert landscaping. So we removed it. I really like how we can now see the midcentury modern architecture better now.We also planted a light and lacy Palo Verde, a bright green trunked desert-loving tree that doesn't need much water and blooms all yellow in the spring. The front of the house looks much better for it, don't you think? And here is the Palo Verde in full bloom! (The Palo Verde is in both photos. We planted it before we took out the old one.)We hope you get to visit Palm Springs and the Easmor Alexander soon!
